Water Use In Level Four Drought Response Area of North Georgia

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) is monitoring water use in the 55 north Georgia counties where a level IV drought response remains in effect.  This is being done to determine the effectiveness of the drought response and other water conservation efforts.

Monthly water use data from permitted water users in the area under Level IV drought response are posted beginning with the November 2007 data.  This data accounts for 98 percent of permitted water use in the level four drought response counties.
